I began my rodeo career at 16. I was a member of the original Rodeo Cowboys Association (RCA), which later became the PRCA. I won the title of 'World Champion Bull Rider' in 1963. I was 19 and still retain the distinction of being the youngest man to hold this title. I attended 7 National Finals Rodeos in my career. In 1980 I sustained a career ending injury at Grand Junction, CO (I was sitting 13th for the World).
My wife, Coni, and I love hiking. This is one of the unique cactus we found south of Tucson. I know there is a name for them, but cannot come up with it. Perhaps someone out there can help me.
