Interesting Cactus

My wife, Coni, and I love hiking.  This is one of the unique cactus we found south of Tucson.  I know there is a name for them, but cannot come up with it.  Perhaps someone out there can help me.

Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained...

This is my first attempt at blogging. Guess an old dog can learn new tricks. My wife has a blog up and running and suggested I do the same, hoping I might hear from some old friends along the way. Not sure too many old cowboys are blogging, but if you are and you know me, please post a response. This may take a few days to get the hang of, but so did bull riding.
